VAC partner complimentary NFR licence question

Hi

I would apreciate talking to someone who has already got experience of setting up a learning lab using the NFR licence entitlement that comes of VAC partnership!

What do the NFR licences/software you get with VAC membership get you exactly?

My employer is about to become a VAC... I'm lucky enough to have an excellent education lab environment (blades, redundant SAN, gb/E etc.) but can't find a statement anywhere telling me what products and features, how many hosts etc. are covered (or not covered) by the NFR. Can you do as much as you want as long as it is not sold/used or is it restrictive e.g. only get the Started Edition licence for ESX.....

I would expect the NFR license to come with all the bells & whistles, so that you as a VAC partner would be fully versed when dealing with your customers.

There is a VAC NFR request form.

You request what you need - I am pretty sure it is all inclusive.

You should talk to your local channel rep for details.

There is only a limitation in use, not in functionality.

I believe the NFR license is for 16 cpu's of VI3 ent,

but we should be able to extend that if you require more.

My company is a VAC. You fill in the NFR Request form found:

Partner Central

- Info Center

-Products and Solutions

-downloads and NFR

You will need to be at least a VIP Enterprise partner in order to access the NFR order form. You will be able to get the following VI3 licenses:

1 VC Managment Server license

8 total CPU licenses of ESX Enterprise Server 3.0.1 (This includes SAN, VMotion, HA, and DRS)

1 VMware converter Enterprise

There are several other licenses that you can get as well including: VDI, ACE, Lab Manager, etc.
