Would like to know if there are many out there running Websphere on Linux in Vmware. We attempted migrating from physical to Virtual, our first attempt the CPU utilization had shot up to 100% once all of the node agents and applications were running. We tried adding resources, moving the virtual system to another host, however still had the same performance issues. After many attempts at fine tuning the system, we went back to running on the physical server. We are running ESX 3.0.1, patched to the latest level. The physical box had 2 cpu with 12G, we ran the new system with 2 cpu and 12G RAM, had issues; increased to 4 cpu and 16G RAM, same issue.
If you have any information to help guide us in migrating websphere to VM, I would appreciate any input.
