Remove a snapshot after reverting back

I know this may seem like an elementary question but I just want to be clear. I took a snapshot before an update and the update was unsuccessful. I reverted back to the snapshot and now am wondering if it is ok to delete the snapshot that I reverted back to?? My understanding is since I reverted back and I delete the snapshot it will merge the snapshot disks into one vmdk??

Yes the snapshot will merge back in after you delete it, but if you reverted to the snapshot the changes you made before reverting are gone.

Only changes since you reverted will be there.
