How to reduce virtual disk size

Is it possible to reduce the virtual disk size of a VM. If so, how? We tried the shrink option in the VMware Tools running on the VM (Win2003) but it didn't reduce the drive size at all.

VMware Converter is probably the best option to shrink disk.

Be careful with W2K3 VMs.

At least Converter 3 will convert lsilogic VMDKs to buslogic VMDKs!
