EXSi and Compellent SAN

I'm trying to get EXSi to recognize/see a volume on a Compellent SAN's. When I try to "Add Storage" it only see's an old (deleted) volume on the SAN's and not the newer volumes. How can I get ESXi to recognize the new volumes.

Thanks,

tw

By volumes do you mean virtual disks? The obvious would be that they are mapped to the host and/or host group? This is done on the san itself, but is a two way link between the host(s) and san.

I've never used a Compellent SAN though, so I could be totally off base.

Are you using iSCSI or FC connections to the SAN. If FC, did you zone the storage to the ESXi host? If iSCSI is you HBA recognizing the storage location? Also, when after you created the volume in Storage Center did you map it to the ESXi host? Did you map it using an existing LUN number?

Thanks for the input guys. I talked with the SAN's guys and they were able to get me straightened out.
