ESX 3.5 vs. vSphere (ESX4.0)

Hi,

Can anyone provide me a single pager sheet describing differences between ESX 3.5 and ESX 4.0 and enhancements in ESX4.0 . I have tried to find out on vmware and google but didn't find any.

Thanks in advance

Regards,

Kaashif

Thanks for the reply,

Link is very good, but I have already seen that link. Infact I had to share a comprehensive report with a customer, reflecting both esx3.5 and esx4.0 features and differences on a single page. This is a time taking job to create such sheet, to avoid this I am seeking if someone have already prepared such sheet.

Thanks,

Kaashif

Ultimately ESX 4 does everything ESX 3.5 does but only better and you can get more functinality like Faukt Tikerance, Distributed Switches, Host Profiles, Improved EVC, ability to use the Cisco Virtual Switch and better perfomance - also keep in mind yes VMware is still supporting ESX 3.5 and will continue to do so for the near term but ultimately they will stop the support so you customer will have to go through the exercise of an upgrade - the only reason why I would recommend ESX 3 at this point is if your customer is using VMwae View, SRM or LAb Manger as these are not yet supported by ESX 4

If this is a new install the cost will be the same because you can not purchase VI-3 Licenses you will have to purchase vSphere licenses and downgrade -
