Welcome to the Forums - these are vmware based definitions:

Template - A virtual machine that is marked not to power on and is used to create Virtual Machines

Cloning - Making a copy of a deployed virtual machine

Limitation - not sure what you mean

Snapshot - technology that allows you freeze the state of a VM and its virtual disks so that you can revert the vm back to that state

Memory Balloning - is a driver installed with vmware tools that allows the vmkernel to influence the vm guest o/s and its use of its own virtual memory - engaging the balloon driver frees physical RAM for use by other VMs

VMware Tools - A set of drivers designed for the virtual environment - they are O/S specific and are installed in to the VM to improve the performance of the virtual machine

Reservation - will insure a segment of CPU or memory is reserved for a VM

cluster - is group of servers that can be configured for HA and/or DRS

HA - High Availability will restart the vms that were running on an ESX server that failed on the remaining ESX servers in the HA cluster

DRS - Distributed Resource Schedulere ensures delivery of resources to the VMs running on the DRS cluster by vmotioning the vms to a host with available resources

Resource Pools - allow you to carve up the resources in of a DRS cluster into seperate pools -

If you find this or any other answer useful please consider awarding points by marking the answer correct or helpful

These are very simplified I would recommend spending some time with the VMware Documentation http://www.vmware.com/support/pubs/ or other online resources and trauning
