I have a question regarding cluster across box in virtualization environment.
Configuration:
Node1 - ESX1 - VC1 -> GuestOS node1 is in esx server ESX1 which is managed by virtual centre VC1
Node2- ESX2- VC2 > -> GuestOS node2 is in esx server ESX2 which is managed by virtual centre VC2
Can I create a cluster by taking node1 and node2 both esx servers being managed by 2 virtual centres ?
Thanks

Hello,
Can I create a cluster by taking node1 and node2 both esx servers being managed by 2 virtual centres ?
Yes. VIrtual Center has nothing really to do with clustering just configuration. Configuration of this will be interesting as you need to do things in both vCenter servers. The key is to make sure the STORAGE is shared properly.

I think, this is possible. You dont do the cluster at VC level but you do that at OS level.
You will have to be sure that you are opting for RDM disks and not the vmfs.
Please read this pdf it will be helpfult to you. http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vi3_35/esx_3/r35u2/vi3_35_25_u2_mscs.pdf
