Book/Training Recommendation

I'm very new to virtualization and vmware.  I currently manage a vmware environment that i did not configure (trial by fire).  I have been tasked to replace the hardware and move from FC to iscsi.

Since i've never built a vmware environment from scratch, can anyone recommend good books to read that start at the basic level.  I mean, i need like a vmware for dummies book.

Thanks

You bet! The best book to get started is Scott Lowe's book called Mastering vSphere 5. I'd consider it the 101-201 level. It will get you going, and after that ping me back here and I'll get you a few more books that can hit the 300 and 400 levels.
