I have a set up with esx3.5.
I have a VM with Redhat OS installed which was allocated ip 1923168.111.80.
I did a service network stop in the VM due to which the VM lost netowrk access as expected and ping to the said VM from external sources was failing.
I check that DHCP has release the IP also.
But vmware tools still give me IP address :0. I need to get correct details from vmware tools to proceed. Can anyone tell me how to make vmware tools to get correct details.
is there any mechanism to make vmware tools to rebuild guest details ?:| or any reason this can happen. My vmware tools are uptodate.
