virtual machine cannot turn on NPIV connection because scanning of the SAN disk failed

Anytime i turn on the virtual client, the NPIV login stays during boot-up, but gone down after the virtual machine is completely powered on.

I did all the zoning steps (which worked before on different vmware server with the same raid LSI target system):

1. zoned physical HBA + target raid controller

2. I then created Raid disks and assign each disk to each client (4 clients)

3. I then generated 4 pwwn for each virtual client

4. After that, I created separate zone for each virtual client = physical HBA + target raid controller + 4 virtual pwwn

5. I went to target raid system, and added all 16 pwwn to the assigned luns

ESX can scan disks and see all 4 disks for 4 virtual clients. All mapping was done before i actually turn on the client.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think this is your problem.

4. After that, I created separate zone for each virtual client = physical HBA + target raid controller + 4 virtual pwwn

While you have 1 Zone for Physical HBA + Target, you have separate zones for each VM. I believe you need to use the same Zone. I would double check this by using only one zone for all 4 VMs.
