vcbMounter, very low performance

Hi.

config:

ESX 3.5 build 64607 on

2 Xeon 5335, 16GB RAM, supermicro X7DBU, local SATA disk, 2 QLogic

FC card QLA 2464.

SAN Datastore -FC Xyratex Ltd F5402E.

ESX host system boot from local sata disk.

All VMs on FC.

On Xyratex we use 16 sata disks.

15 disks are incorporated in RAID 5. 1 hotspare disk.

RAID is separate on 4 logical volume for 1.8 TB each.

All VMs on volume1 (datasote name fc0), and volume2 (datastore fc1).

Try to backup VM (from volume 0) by vcbMounter on volume 3 (non used by VMs).

Very low performance - < 4 MB/S.

Is it normal ?

I will be to do hot backup all VMs on this ESX host (total size > 1 TB ) on free datastore (volume 3).

Please, prompt me the best way.

UP...

Whether if as backup to use VMware Consolidated Backup for the same ESX host and SAN datastore performance will
increase?

How it is possible to change COS for vcbMounter? Whether it will affect backup performance?
