migration will cause the vm's config to be modified

I upgraded one of our esx host servers from 3.0.2 to 3.5 and now when I try to migrate a VM to the 3.5 server, I get the following warning:

"migration will cause the virtual machine's configuration to be modified, to preserve the CPU feature

requirements for its guest OS"

Does anyone know why I would get this warning?

Thanks!

The virtual machine configuration will change cause in 3.5 there are a

couple of extra features which relate to the CPU. Just ignore it, you

should be fine. (for instance hardware virtualisation, vmi capabilities for paravirtualization..)

I have exactly the same thing. I upgraded my ESX host from 3.0.2 to 3.5.

When I try to migrate I get the following message :" migration will cause the virtual machine's configuration to be modified, to preserve the CPU feature

requirements for its guest OS " . However the migration is succesfully completed..

Migrating on 3.0.2 worked perfectly. I use 6 Dell PE2950 servers with exactly the same cpu.

I also like to know why I am getting this warning.
