losing IP after rebooting Windows VMs esx 4

Hello,

We are seeing an issue when rebooting some windows VMs with multiple IPs configured on their NIC, after rebooting some of these VMs, some IPs are lost from the NIC, the only solution is to reset the configuration and bind the IPs back to the NIC. We are seeing this issue more often than before.

Wondering if someone has any feedback on this?

Cheers.

Andres.

Are you saying the IP addresses are gone in the Windows network configuration?

If so, this definitely looks like a Windows issue rather than a issue of the virtualization.

Have you checked the event logs of the VM's in question yet?

Maybe an AV software could cause issues.

André

EDIT: Take a look at MS KB http://support.microsoft.com/kb/982931/en-us

Are we talking static IP's or dynamic?
