Hello,
I have problem with installation of Windows Server 2008 R2 RC on ESX server.
boot.wim image is 64 bit and vmware doesn't have LSI_SCSI driver for amd64.
I could install Windows 2008 R2 beta becauseboot.wim image is x86.
Thank you for tip
I don't believe R2 is supported as of today. This may be why you are having problems.
It still RC. It will not be supported but I want to test it on vmware. Some small dirty hack will be fine ;o)
sorry, can't help you with the "hack". When running on a non supported platform it's sometimes difficult to get to a working solution.
Hi,
I solved it.
Problem is boot.wim image doesn't have driver for lsi_scsi amd64 - probably.
I took "Windows Server 2008 R2 beta" (there is boot.wim image based on x86) and replace install.wim from "Windows Server 2008 R2 RC".
Now I am installing server.
Hope this help.
Hi Filip,
