high memory usage in windows os system

Hi all,

I am using VMware vSphere 4.1 and I create a VM: 8GBRAM, 8vCPU, when I start a VM and see in the task manager that the memory usage is very high but I don't run any program.

Can any body tell me the way to correct that problem?

The host is IBM HS23, 32GB RAM.

Welcome to the Community -  You have to remember how Windows is architected - when starting WIndows will load as much as it can into memory - if you wait you will see the memory load drops down -

I have attached the files to show that the OS does not run any more program but in the task manager memory usage is very high.
