Windows Server 2008 guest OS support (non-experimental) -- WHEN?

Does anyone know when VMware will have full, non-experimental support for x86 and x64 versions of Windows Server 2008 on ESX Server 3.5?

The OS has been out for almost 3 months now and the guest OS compatibility guide still shows it listed as experimental support.

I wouldn't expect it before the next upgrade release.

But only VMware knows and they won't tell.

Vmware isn't very fast at these things. I'm sure that quality assurance is one of the reasons and if it wasn't thoroughly tested we would complain too. Support for MSCS came with 3.5 Update 1 approx. 5 months after the initial release of 3.5. I agree that it is a long time to wait, but I see the experimental label more like safety net for vmware and as a part of the QA.

Worst part is that information about these things are kept very tight and are only leaked as rumours. A more customer friendly approach would be appreciated by almost all vmware customers as far as I know.
