Windows Server 2008 guest OS alarms for CPU and Memory

We have recently created a vm with server 2008 as the guest OS. It has 80G of storage, 3G memory allocated, and unlimited processor. Upon boot it throws alarms for memory and CPU that do not go away for nearly 10 minutes after bootup. It is also throwing these alarms when running seemingly simple database scripts.

Is anyone running 2008 and having similar issues? I checked the min specs on 2008 and it has a max of 4G memory for 32 bit systems so I can't figure why it would still flag 3G.

It may just be the alarms in general are not working as expected. This seems to be an issue that stems back to 3.0.x days and has kind of lingered around in 3.5. One thing you can do is from the hosts and clustes level, try to disable the alarms and then enable them again. That usually fixes the problem.

Seems about once of month or so this needs to happen.

If you open the Windows Task manager, do you see same high CPU and Memory usage?

When you start server see what process in the Task manager is occupying CPU and taking memory

Just wondering if data from within OS correlates with what you see on VI side.
