Windows 98, VMWare, FAT32 and NTFS

I am running Windows XP at present with FAT32 file system. I plan to convert my file system to NTFS. If I were to later run Windows 98 within VMWare in Windows XP, would the Windows 98 still work with NTFS?

The Host Filesystem is completly seperate from the VMs Filesystem. Within the virtual Disk, you create a new Filesystem for your windows 98 System, which will be Fat32. This has nothing to do with the Hosts Windows XP running on NTFS.
