Windows 7 won't install LAN drivers

So let me get you up-to-date on what I'm doing;

I'm in a Computer Forensics class where I have a hard drive from the suspect. I got it up and running into VMWare and got the passwords removed. Now I'm trying to connect it to the internet so that I can go into Hotmail to check out his inbox.

I can't get the LAN drivers to work. I have tried to install like 3 different ones but no go. Anyone able to help me out?

It says that there is no network to connect to...and the drivers aren't installing correctly :S

You should simply install VMTools, either check if VMXNET option is in vmx file.
