Windows 2008 R2 still in experimental mode?

All the discussion about the Windows 2008 R2 SVGA issue mention it won't be supported until 2008 R2 goes GA. It's now GA, but it appears to be still flagged as experimentally supported. Anyone have any ideas when VMWare plans to officially support 2008 R2?

Since it's GA now, I suppose VMware will release patch to fully support 2008 R2 / Win 7. When exactly - nobody know.

Hello, longtime lurker, first-time poster. The rumors I've been reading suggest Update 1 for vSphere 4 will support Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2. ETA looks to be within a few weeks, sometime in November.

Here are some sources:

Hope this helps!

I logged a service request on this issue and was told that Windows 2008 R2 is going through testing now on ESX4 and there are NO plans to support it on ESX3.5. WTF?

They couldn't give me a ETA on when it would be released, even though Win2008 R2 is GA.

I just heard it's planned to be the "first week in November" so should be any day...
