Windows 2000 guest ftp/iis/general slowness

Hi Everyone,

Have gotten some complaints and now see firsthand some issues with a windows 2000 guest running on VSphere 4 in relation to IIS5 and ftp slowness. Seems tooccur at randome times. If I useanftp client and keep logging in, I can see pauses in the welcome banners, and we get complaints about slow webpage loading times. I know...dirt old OS, but one of the reasons we virtualized as it would be a pain to rebuild this server. Other vm's on win2k3 seem tobe fine.

Have ruled out duplex/negotiation/firewall (happens even on another host in subnet. Have vmotioned to different host....hp dl380 g5 with plenty of cpu and mem....have tried switching to an e1000 adapter...reapplied service pack 4. no go.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply, Rick. Have not seen it. Did take a read, and no network problems to speak of. I think issue is somewhere at the guest level, but not sure.
