I'm having an issue deploying a vm from a windows server, the machine deploys fine however:
1) It does not join the domain
2) windows does not activate until I manually click "Activate" in the new vm
I have seen a lot of posts about this, a lot of people have had success with changing the username to user@fqdn - but this made no difference to me.
I have checked the SID of the newly deployed machines and they are all different - so my question might be: is it safe to use the machines if I manually join them to the domain once they are deployed? What could be missing besides manually joining them to the domain and manually activating them?
