Which SCSI controller type for Windows 2008 R2

Hello,

I would like to have your opinion. Do you recommend the LSI Logic SAS or LSI Logic Parallel for the Windows 2008 R2 guest OS ?

I know that we MUST use the SAS for clustered disks, but it's not mandatory for non-clustered disks.

Currently, my template is set with LSI Logic SAS disks. Is it a good choice ?

Kind regards.

Hello.

As you mentioned, unless there is a need for the Microsoft clustering, I always go with the LSI Parallel controller. On templates, for me it comes down to how many changes I will have to make post-deployment.

Good Luck!
