WINXP SP3 issues?

After SP3 is installed on a WinXP VM all works fine until VM was powered off to reboot ESX host. Afterwards VM comes up fine, but cannot ping and cannot RDC into VM. Seems to be a netowrking issue, does anyone else have this problem?

ESX host is 3.0.2 VC 2.0.2

I cannot ping the VM's ip, from the VM cannot ping out to router gateway or ESX. Firewall settings do not look any different than other non SP3's.

ok from the vm ping the localhost or ping the ip of the vm, go to the Virtual Machine Properties and check the network adapter and make sure it says connected and connect at power on.

I apologize in advance... It appears to be a physical problem with the network connection on the ESX host. That network port is transmitting but not receiving, currently looking into this. I will post results as soon as I get to the bottom of this, thank you for your assistance.
