I've installed Vmware Tools on Ubuntu 6.06 (ESX 3.5/VC2.0) and it works. I've installed it the standard way as described in the vmware manual. But i wonder if i need to adjust some settings:
- The guest has a "flexible" virtual NIC. Which NIC Driver should i use? PCNET32 or VMXNET? Standard seems to be PCNET32 and it seems to work with that.
- Anything else that i should configure about vmware tools in ubuntu guests? (Note i'm talking about ubuntu guests without graphical Interface...without X)
