Virtualizing Sharepoint?

We are currently implementing sharepoint in our environment and we would like to consider virtualizing. Has anyone gone through this process yet and if so what have they discovered? Any tips or advice would be welcome.

Thank you in advance.

Sincerely,

Our WSS3.0 server with 40-50 users and the associated SQL instance are both running as VMs on our 2 node ESX3.5U2 cluster on HP DL380 G5s and a NetApp FAS2020 SAN with no problems.
