Virtual Center and .vmdk size

Just used vmkfstools to extend the size of one of my vmdk disks. I currently have a machine with two vmdk disk, question is why when looking @ the Virtual Center gui, and going to properties of the vm iself I still see the old size of the disk, when in the vm is shows the new size and i was able to use diskpart to extend the volume, but the virtual center client still reports 190GB, when really its 220GB now

It is normal that things you do in the console does not show up in virtual center right away. Something you do has to be followed by a "service vmware-mgmt restart" in order for VC to reload the info from

the ESX server.

I would not worry about it. Remember in esx 3.5 and vc 2.5 you can resize the disk directly from inside virtual center.

The size information should update in VC after some time... I asume you have started the server... sometimes the update is done when the server is started.
