VMware Tools for legacy Windows for Workgroups 3.11??

Hi everybody,

does someone know if there are any VMware Tools available for legacy guest "Windows for Workgroups 3.11" ??

If so where can I get them?

I use VMware WS 5.5 and tried to install the provided Tools - and guess what .. it doesn't work because of older driver model then Windows9x.

Unfortunately there are no VMware Tools for Windows 3.11 as per this document:

"*No VMware Tools package exists for MS-DOS 6.22 or Windows 3.1x guest operating systems. As a result, Windows

3.1x is limited to VGA mode graphics, and you must always use the

Ctrl+Alt key combination to release the mouse from a MS-DOS 6.22 or

Windows 3.1x virtual machine*"

Hope that clears things up.

Nope, no VMware Tools package. However, you can try a different video driver on Ken Kato's site. I had success with that with Workstation v5.x - have had issues with newer v6 tho.. it might just be due to upgrading the virtual hardware. Have not tried keeping the older hardware version.
