I have a simple question!
Is it possible to have a static IP on a guest while the host OS 's IP is
DHCP. I'm on a hotspot where DHCP is obliged. (and my guests would need static IP)
The clients are Debian 5 and are supposed to be able to reach the internet.
Thx in advance
Welcome to the forums!
Yes, it is possible. It doesn't matter if you use bridged or NAT, both are completely independent regarding to their IP address setup.
Of course, if you use NAT, the default gateway the host uses is used by indirectly by the guest, too.
