VM network and local time clock problem

Hello all,

Have any of you experienced the similar problem? Initally I saw my ESX host has different sysclock and hardware clock (about 12 hours apart). So I made change so that they have the same clock. Then One of my window VM reporting problem. I cannot login using either local admin (wrong password) or domain admin (tells me the network time is different of local machine time).

Does anyone know how to fix or work around?

thank you very much for your help!

The host should be set to UTC.  Once you set an NTP source for the server it should sync up and also update the hardware clock. Certain operations for a VM (power on / resume from suspend / etc) force the VM to sync time from the host.  If the host is set correctly the VM should get the right time (or close) to start with.
