VM Migration Between VMFS Datastores

If anyone could assist with any suggestions I would appreciate it.

I Have 2 ESX 3.02 hosts (Dell 2950's) connected to a EMC FC SAN. I have a number of VM's running on them which already in production.

I also have an individual ESX server (IBM Blade) with local VMFS datastore with 3 production Windows VM's running on.

Now I have just setup another 2 new ESX 3.5 hosts with local storage used only for ESX OS and they are connected to an IBM FC SAN for VMFS Datastore. These 2 host are also IBM blades with FC HBA's

I am able to connect both the DELL's hosts to the new IBM SAN as well as install a FC HBA in the individual ESX server blade and connect that to the SAN as well.

What would be the easiest way to migrate the VM's from the EMC SAN and the Individual ESX server datastore to the new IBM SAN? Could storage Vmotion be used?

I basically want to scrap the 2 DELLs and the individual ESX server.

If you really have visibility of all the storage from your esx host, and you can shutdown the VMs (once at a time) you can simply relocate VMs file from one storage to another.

Great info, I just ran some tests and it seems you can browes the datastore right click the directoy for the VM and select move. It gives you the option to move to any visible datastores. Once again Thanks
