Unable to connect to client CD

For some reason I'm unable to connect to a client CD device from my VM. I've tried both the Passthru IDE and Emulate IDE settings. When I click on the drive letter in Explorer I get the message to "please insert a disk into drive D:" I have ESX 3.02 and VI Client 2.02.

Do you have a CD into your drive? Smiley Happy

Have your tried to connect an ISO image?

make sure you have the "connected" button checked as well.
