I am using VMWare infrastructure web Access Version 2.0.0 on my Windows 7 Home Premium.
I have installed RHEL AS4.5 as Guest OS.
I could not connect to the host from guest OS . I am using Bridge Network.
I have tried to disable Windows Firewall - no changes.
I want to access the internet in the guest.
May be anybody have any idea?

Welcome to the forums!
Post "ifconfig -all" and "route" from the guest and "ipconfig /all" from the host.

Hello,
Are you using VMware WOrkstation, Player, or Server within your Windows Desktop? THat will help us to narrow down what could be the issue and how to debug it.

First thing to ensure is that your Windows 7 physical host can correctly access the internet.
Next, whatever VMware platform you are using (Workstation, VMware Server, Player, etc...) ensure that all of the related services are running correctly.
Go to the "Settings" section for the problematic virtual machine and ensure that the virtual network adapter is present and that the following options are ticked or enabled;
"Connected" checkbox should be ticked while the VM is powered on.
"Connect at Power On" checkbox should be ticked.
"Bridged" connection type should be selected.
4. Launch the "Virtual Network Editor" (Start > Program Files > VMware > Virtual Network Editor).
5. Highlight "VMnet0" which is the Bridged interface and in the "Bridged To" drop down box, select the physical NIC which your physical host uses to connect to the Internet.
6. Click apply.
7. Go into the virtual machine and configure the network interfaces as needed (DHCP or Static).
8. You should be able ping www.google.com now and hence be able to connect to the internet.
If you still cannot connect to the internet, then you should post the following or otherwise we will not be able to assist you further......
Version and type of VMware virtual platform that you are using.
Output of "ifconfig" command from within the Red Hat virtual machine
Output of "ipconfig /all" command from your Windows host.

If I am not reading the details incorrectly in file that you attached, your physical windows host does not have a default gateway defined. Are you able to connect to the internet from your windows host?

You're right, but that doesn't affect the guest and that doesn't affect the guest-host communication as no default gatewaq is needed for that.
More important is that the host doesn't have an IP config at all.
You only can connect from the guest to the host via a bridged connection if the host has a valid IP address.
