Ubuntu 32 bits or Ubuntu 64 bits as guest OS for LAMP servers on ESX3.5u3 ?

Hello,

We want to deploy Ubuntu VM as LAMP servers on ESX3.5u3. We're hesitating between 32 bits guests OS (with VMI) and 64 bits guests OS

Do you know which architecture will give best results ?

Thanks,

Nicolas

It depends on your software compatibility. 64-Bit almost always is a better choice and will outperform 32-bit in just about every situation. So my suggestion would be 64-bit, but just make sure that everything you need on Unbuntu will be compatible with 64-bit.
