SnapshotCount is outside expected limits

Bonjour Team,

Bon debut de semaine a tous. J'aurais besoin de votre avis sil vous plait. Je reçois l'erreur ci-dessous a multiple reprise sur une VM. J'ai procédé a la verification si des snapshots non supprime existe mais non.

[NimSoft] [NOT_CLEARED] [MINOR] [vmware] [8/5/17 13:42:47]

    [VMware - The monitor PCBELEPPRVOAD01.SnapshotCount on PCBELEPPRIVC01:443 is outside expected limits (2 > 1)]

I run the below script and the output is zero for all VMs. Any one experienced this issue before?

Get-VM | Format-Table Name, @{Label="NumSnapshots";Expression={(Get-Snapshot -VM $_ | Measure-Object).Count}}, @{Label="TotalSnapShotSizeMB";Expression={(Get-Snapshot -VM $_ | Measure-Object -Sum SizeMB).Sum}}

Will really appreciate your feedback. Thanks.

Sometimes when a backup solution takes a snapshot it fails to clean the snapshot up.  The snapshots might continue to exist on disk but not be viewable from the snapshot manager.  This could be your case.  Check the VM's datastore and see if there are exsting -delta.vmdk files or a lot of vmName-0000X.vmdk files.  Try right-clicking the VM and click snapshot -> consolidate.  You can also try to create a new snapshot and then immediately delete all snapshots, although this may not work to clean them up.  But you should check to see if there are orphaned snapshots first.

Do you have a backup solution running on the environment (i.e. NetBackup or Veeam)?  Do you run linked clones off any of the VMs, such as for a VDI/Horizon environment?
