Shutdown linux guest properly via VC

Hello all!

I have several VM with Linux Red Hat 4 with no X.

It is very long to connect to the VM to log and then to enter shutdown command.

Is it possible to click on the red button in VC to shutdown properly the linux guest?

Like it is down with right click on vm and Shut down guest??

With the red button Linux is not shutdown properly...

Thanks

Right Click -> Edit Settings on the VM. Click the Options tab, then select VMWare Tools from the list. On the right you can change the behaviour of the red power off button. Set it to "Shut Down Guest" from the drop down list.

NB: This only works if you have VMware tools installed in the guest.
