SAS Multi-Initiator Failover test failed

Hi,

We are trying to certify our SAS product which has two input ports on each storage controller. The CVA 2.1 requires two servers connecting to a common target. A two port HBA ( port 0 and port 1 respectively) is also required in each server. Port 0 of the HBA in Server A is connecting to the storage controller 1 port 1 (the Host In port) . Port 0 of the HBA in Server B is connecting to the storage controller 1 port 3 (the Host In port) . Similarly, port 1 of the HBA in Server A is connecting to the storage controller 2 port 1 . Port 1 of the HBA in Server B is connecting to the storage controller 2 port 3 .

During the process of the Multi-Initiator Failover test, it will ask one cable from each host connecting to the same storage controller to be removed so that each LUN now has only one path available. But the test gave reasons for failing was because either after the cable from each host has been removed, the CVA 2.1 did not detect dead path, or IOZone failed to start on one of the virtual machines.

Can you give solution of how to work around this problem?

Thanks,

Toan
