Running a Autocad License Server that uses LMTOOLS and a .lic file for its license as a Virtual Machine?

Does anybody currently run VM of a Autocad License Server? The .lic file you receive from Autocad website is generated from machine name and mac address, we didn't know this at first and P2V our license server to find out the hard way. I am able to login to Autodesks website and generate a new license file, you only get a few attempts before you have to contact them asking for more to be generated. Any help is much appricated.

Should not be a problem - the same license manager is used for Virtual Center and it works fine in a VM

We run our Autocad license mgr in a VM without any problems. Other than getting a new file when we P2Vd, we haven't had any issues since.
