Hi,
After change the name of my virtual machine (Win2003), I wanted to change name of files and folders associated with it (.vmdk, .vmx etc).
Can anyone have any procedure to do so.

Hi you want to clone the machine, and give it the new name all the .vmdk and .vmx will then followw the naming convention.

Thanks alot it really hepled.
The best way and the easiest way was to just rename (use vmkfstools -E) and move the all .vmdk files to a new folder and start a new virtual machine and use existing hard drive, point to the renamed hard disk.
