Rebooting VM cause it to mount it as read-only filesystems

Hi,

I have a few Redhat VM which whenever I rebooted the VM, it will always has problem running and it will mount it as read-only filesystems. Will need to reboot and force a fsck check before it can be mounted properly. My ESX server is running on a SAN storage system so how could I resolve this issue? Could there be problem with my harddisk?

Thanks

Hello,

Read-Only VMDK implies one of two things. The VMDK is corrupt or the VMDK was accessible and now is not. The second generally points to a SAN interconnect issue. Verify the logs of on the SAN do not show any issues and that /var/log/vmkernel does not as well. Also check /var/log/messages within the VM.
