How does customization work like ?

Hi Guys, I apologize if I'm on the wrong discussion. I can see imcXXXX in each VM that I'm deploying by customization using template. VMs are deploying successfully but once I reboot the VM the customization process starts again. Only one change I noticed is in the datastore of the VMs. Each VM has imcXXXX.tmp file in it. Can you guys please help me out how can I stop customization at every reboot. Ny registry setting is fine which one of the KBs suggested. Regards

I created a new discussion as the older one was from 2008...

I assume this is Windows you are talking about? Generally, customization should only happen once, which may mean your customization never actually completed properly. Check your event logs etc.
