Problems starting VM after converted from vhd

Hello,

I've a problem with a Windows XP (x86) SP3. (vhd file from Virtual PC)

I used the VMware Standalone Converter to convert the machine from Virtual PC into our VMware enviroment.

I installed it on the Virtual Machine and choosed to Convert this Local Machine. Then pointed out one of our VM Host.

But when it was all done i can't start the guest OS. It's just black.

I've tried the following.

- rebuild the boot.ini

- Followed this link : http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&externalId=1016613

- Have also tried to remove all the external drives in Virtual PC.

- Uninstalled the pointer integration software from the virtual machine

But it dosn't work. Any suggestions to this issue?

Please ask if you need more information.

Best regard

Anyone got any ideas for this issue?

One solution could be just to make a new virtual machine, then reinstall the software but it takes like forever.

Would be great if someone had a sollution for the issue so i just can kickstart the machine and get it up and running.

I can se the bios and have tried to make a repair, have made a CHKDSK etc. No error messages or anything when it starts.

Just a "_" that is flashing, then the rest of the screen is just black, have tried to leave it like that over the night, but no success.
