P2V failure on 2000 SP4 Citrix server with relabled drive letters

VMWare Converter 3.0.2u1 build-62456. Citrix server is on Windows 2000 SP4 with the C: and 😧 drives changed to M: and N: as is typical on a Citrix server. Import of physical machine fails at 97% every time just after "Preparing Target Virtual Machine". The VM that we get will boot partway and then BSOD with Inaccessible Boot Device. Mounting the M: drive on another vm guest and opening the registry hive shows that it has the correct M: and N: mount devices. Destination host is a 3.0.2 ESX box.

What am I missing? This worked fine on our 2003 Citrix boxes with the same M: and N: drives but it won't work on the one 2000 box we have left. Physical box is a Dell 2650 with a Dell PERC 3/di

Have you checked to see what SCSI controller the VM is using?

I've tried with both LSI and Buslogic and get the same results. Windows starts to boot and then BSOD with inaccessible boot device.
