Operating System not found

When I migrate a (VM) from 2.5 to 3.5 everything is OK. After that I shut down the (VM) so i can upgrade virtual hardware to v:vmx-04 everything OK.

But when i started the (VM) it says Operating System not found.

Anyone any ideas..?

It's such a normal thing.

When you've upgraded your virtual hardware, esx had change the virtual disk controller.

Your VM not load the driver for that controller because not know that hardware is changed.

Try to boot your VM with the installation CD (or ISO) and use the restore procedure (it depends on which OS you have on VM).

Bye
