I'm using OpenBSD 4.6/4.8 on a few VM's in my ESX environment and i found it the NIC adapters are not 1Gbps at all.
When looking at the ifconfig output i see my adapter shows 1Gbps, but when doing a speedtest using rsync or anything else i just don't get over 100mbit/s. Looks like the virtual adapters don't seem to reach 1Gbps at all.
All other VM's on the same vswitch reach more than 1 Gbps.
Anyone here seen this behaviour and better, somehere here that knows what to do? Right now i'm using E1000 nics but i tried other nics aswell and it made no difference.
