MSCS cluster cross two physical ESX hosts

I have created VM MSCS cluster over two exs hosts. I noticed that I am not able to Vmotion, snapshot, or clone the Vm server anymore. Question - Is there anyway to protect this cluster beside the regular backup through third party software ? How are you guys protecting the cluster cross two hosts ?

thanks

Hello,

Moved to VI: Virtual Machine and Guest OS forum.

I have created VM MSCS cluster over two exs hosts. I noticed that I am not able to Vmotion, snapshot, or clone the Vm server anymore.

That is correct.

Question - Is there anyway to protect this cluster beside the regular backup through third party software ? How are you guys protecting the cluster cross two hosts ?

That is how I do it, a standard backup.

That is expected behaviour,

nope the resiliance is in the cluster. if you loose a Host the other kicks in. I use regular back up agents to protect the data
