I'm having a hard time navigating the VMware products to see what would best meet our need. In the interest of load balancing virtual servers, I've been looking at VMware. We run Hyper-V at the moment, on Windows Enterprise '08 R1. I need to build a couple virtual servers on our host & cluster them for load balancing. (not failover.) What are my options?
Hi,
if you need to load balance VM's accross hosts, you need to configure DRS on the cluster.
Check this, http://www.vmware.com/products/drs/
Thank you. I'll be load balancing across guests on the same host. Hearing myself saying that...does that even make sense or would it be better to just have one beefy guest?
Welcome to the Forums - A beefier Vm will do the trick -
