I ask this because we do not have the luxury of being able to always update the VMware Tools to the latest versions until proper testing has been done. So with that in mind is there a way to set Virtual Center to report a specific version or higher as ok?
In my environment we only get a chance to perform VMware tools updates every 6 months and on a specific version that has been throughly tested. Can VC be told to only report tools as out of date if they are below this version? If newer tools are added with later patches they would not get installed with the "Auto Update" function until we are ready for it.
