I've installed the VMvare Trial version and Windows XP guest OS successfully (I think). The computer has been rebooted, and I try to start VMware for the first time. Guess what: I have the start screen which ask me to ... install guest OS - again. What is wrong and how to solve such problem?
Many thanks in advance.
Fred
Welcome to the forums!
Which VMware product do you use?
Which host OS?
Which guest OS?
How do you installed the guest OS (XP)? Have you "only" created a virtual machine or do you have performed the standard XP setup (like you would install XP on a physical machine)?

Do you see the installed OS on the virtual disk when you boot it with the XP CD and choose the recovery mode?

I didn't understand your question. Would you please tell more specificly, what should I do? Thanks.

Fred
plz check the boot order on VM's BIOS by pressing ESC or F2 during startup and change the first boot disk to your VM's Hard Disk.
